Peterborough Music Festival
14th March 2017 - 18th March 2017
Peterborough Music Hub is delighted to be working with Peterborough Music Festival on this annual highlight of the city’s Music calendar.
The 2016 Festival programme featured a new category, sponsored by Peterborough Music Hub, the New Youth Music Showcase.
The event – aimed at highlighting Peterborough’s young composers – was a great success and will return as part of the 2017 competition.
Open to entrants under 18 years of age – the New Youth Music Showcase will be held on Friday 17 March 2017 – with the music played live on the main stage of the Key Theatre.
The competition includes three classes: Singer/Songwriter (solo or duet), Solo Instrumental and Band/Ensemble (maximum of 8 performers).
Places are limited, so entries should be submitted early to ensure inclusion in the programme.
Last year’s winner – 10 year old Thomas Dunleavy – won a cash prize of £100 and an 8 hour recording session at a local studio.
Full details (including entrance fees and entry deadlines) and entry forms will be found on the Peterborough Music Festival website over the coming weeks.
